The foundation to managing your weight and creating a healthy body is rooted in the fact that your body is not intended to consume massive quantities of calories. Too many people claim OVEReating is occurring to mask your hidden deep seated psychology problems. I have worked with thousands of people and 9 out of 10 people OVEReat for two reasons. One because they are not paying attention and keep eating and second out of habit. Habits are conditioned behaviors that become unconscious and we do them automatically without evaluation. As a hypnotist and weight loss coach, I have seen people break all kinds of negative habits, like cleaning their plates with little effort. Yes, habits are formed when you are young, but they can be changed. Make a decision that you will not OVEReat for the next 21 days and you will be on your way to losing weight.
To help you break the habit of OVEReating, there are a few things you will want to do. Starting with paying attention to your body. Listen to your stomach, is it slightly hungry, starving or maybe thirsty? The same part of the brain is signaled for both thirst and hunger. Second have a glass of water and wait a few minutes. Third, rate your hunger one famished ten stuffed, eat only when you feel hungry like a two or three on that scale. Forth, STOP eating the second you feel satisfied, forget full, full will make you fat, STOP at satisfied, around a five or six. If you have no idea what I am talking about then cut your meal in half and only eat half of your usual portion. Finally you will need to remind yourself that you don?t require a lot of food. Look at your left fist and remind yourself that this is the size of your stomach. Remember 21 days to break a habit, do it for at least 21 days and see how much weight you have lost.
